FUNKY, PART 2—October 2009 N*des-of-the-Month was curated by Mary Logan of Kim Foster Gallery in New York City, selected both September and October together. For the two months, Logan chose 61 artworks by 41 artists. Logan had a singular vision for both months. In terms of artistic skill, she looked for form and color, energy and solidity on the page. In terms of personality, she looked for humor and narrative. Funky was her byword for a down-home compliment.
