The goal of barebrush is to increase the public awareness, acceptance and appreciation of the art of the n*de.

Membership is free. No monthly charges. Artists list art for a nominal fee - $1/artwork for 60 days. Multiple curators look at the art. Artists win free listings, placement in the N*des-of-the-Month calendars. Prizes. Art in the calendars becomes a permanent part of the history of barebrush. Link

Save the Date: Valentine's Weekend Show, Draw, Talk in NYC

Attention Barebrush Artists: Valentine's Weekend Show - Feb 12-14

Rogue Space Chelsea is hosting a Valentines Weekend "Nude" Group show and artists weekend workshop. This promises to be a fabulous event.

Among the invited speakers for the marketing workshop (Saturday, February 13), is barebrush founder and CEO, Ilene Skeen, who will talk about her research into the anthropology of art and the art dealers of Chelsea: What do dealers look for in art? What do they want an artist to do? To be? How can you be the artist that dealers prize?

If you are in or around NYC, be sure to participate or stop by.

BTW: As previously announced, Beth DeTal of Rogue Space Chelsea will select the 61 nudes for the N*des-of-the-Month March and April 2010 calendars (deadline Feb 18). This promises to be a very exciting Spring!
