| Desc: | Poppies are one of my favourite flowers and feature in many of my paintings. Their colouring is vivid and strong yet there is an air of delicacy about them. This vulnerability is echoed in the model’s stance, yet like the poppy there is also an underlying strength evident in the set of the mouth, and the somewhat defiant tilt of the head. |
