| They seek to illuminate the current state of femininity and the female body in this context. Computer manipulated photos are a launching point for the painting and drawings which combine massive scale or volume, spotlighting and cropping to recreate the looming and invasive presence of mass media. Modified so the viewer first encounters body language and gesture, communication that predates verbal and written language, the narrative is streamlined to its most intuitive form. |
