Desc: Two men, one standing, looking desolate, the other sleeping next to a jeweled skull. Two hearts pierced by an arrow flying off. Using the Barney's Andy Warhol sales catalogue, I added figures in ink, watercolor and gouache and let the picture flow from the models and the page.

Ilene Skeen
 Ilene Skeen has won awards from the Islip Arts Council, the Smithtown Arts Council, Allied Artists of America and the Salmagundi Club.

Reviewing a show of her watercolor figures in 1997, Newsday advised, "...don't overlook [these] delicate watercolor nudes...'

Ms. Skeen has a BA in Art, an MBA in operations research, and an MA in anthropology. Her corporate career included accounting, management and business systems design. Ms. Skeen's unique background enabled her to found barebrush.com in 2006, dedicated to the art of the nude.
