Spring Energy: clearly thinking of art without nudes -- Guest curator, Charles Yoder, is a painter, printer and teacher. He teaches printmaking at the School of Visual Arts, is the newly elected President of the Artists' Fellowship Inc. and is Chairman of the Art Committee of the Salmagundi Club. Mr. Yoder is also a mainstay "Commander of the Presses" at the monthly Salmagundi Club monotype parties.
Mr. Yoder selected 3 Curators' Choice nominees for April, (starred dates in the list): 1* Postcard from Manhattan (digital) by Ilene Skeen of New York, NY; 10* Three Views of Desi, 2015 (watercolor) by Jacqueline Saunders of Burke, VA; 27* Medium Rare (acrylic) by Dan Simoneau, ISAP of Kenosha, WI.
Artworks making their calendar debut: 6. Seven artworks are being retired, having now appeared in three calendars: Birds at sunset by Peter Wong King of Cochiti Lake, NM; Bruce the Artist by Jean Marcellino of New York, NY; "An Italian Sunday Picnic" by Pacifico Palumbo of Colrain , MA; waltrus by Seonyoung Kim of Woodside, NY; Medium Rare by Dan Simoneau, ISAP of Kenosha, WI; Self Again by Jean Marcellino of New York, NY; Three Views of Desi, 2015 by Jacqueline Saunders of Burke, VA.
Art for this calendar comes from 14 states and Panama.
