Art Nudes: Jewels for June -- Guest curator, David Masello is executive editor of Milieu, a national print magazine about design. Mr. Masello writes about art and culture for the New York Times, Town & Country (where he was senior editor), Fine Art Connoisseur, American Arts Quarterly, and many other periodicals. In addition, Mr. Masello is the author of two books: Architecture Without Rules: The Houses of Marcel Breuer and Herbert Beckhard, and New York's 50 Best Art in Public Places.
When asked to provide a personal statement for the June 2015 art selection, Mr. Masello wrote: What I'm seeking this month are works that people would want to look at and, ideally, own.
Mr. Masello selected three Curators' Choice nominees for June, (starred dates in the list): 1* Tender (oil) by Sandy Ryan of Kew Gardens, NY; 10* The Dancers (acrylic) by Darlene Kuhne of Arvada, CO; 14* Fireflies (watercolor) by Tina Johnston of New York.
Artworks making their calendar debut: 13. Eight artworks are being retired, having now appeared in three calendars: Reflections by David Schulz of Middletown, CT; Corset by Laura Warburton of Toronto, Canada; Apollo in the Sky by Jacqui Morgan of New York City, NY; Laura by Bruce Erikson of Maineville, OH; Back by Dan Simoneau, ISAP of Kenosha, WI; Persian Rug #3 by Donelli J. DiMaria of Santa Fe, NM; Nude by Thomas Stevens of Hillsborough, NC; Passion Changes by Guadalupe Herrera of Houston, TX.
Art for this calendar comes from 14 states, Mexico, France and Canada.

Each of the artists selected for the calendar receives two (2) complimentary listings.
Three artists, indicated by asterisks (*), are nominated for the Curators Choice Awards. Curators’ Choice nominees receive 8 additional complimentary listings. All the Barebrush curators have an opportunity to view and judge the art. The top artist receives an additional prize. Winners announced July 1st.
