The Mysterious Fascination of the Nude -- Guest Curator, DS Wade, is an independent curator, art administrator and artist. Ms. Wade, a native of the Midwest, has juried and curated shows in Michigan and New York, including shows for Rogue Productions, NYC, The Box Factory, St Josephs, MI, Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI, and First Street Gallery, NYC. As an artist, Ms. Wade has exhibited in many states across US.
"I am looking for most are sound compositions in all genres that compel me me to examine the works more closely....compositional elements tell a story about the artist and their creative vision."
Ms. Wade selected three Curators' Choice nominees for October, (starred dates in the list): 1* Amanda Emergent (charcoal/carbon) by Jean Marcellino of New York, NY; 5* Sexuality (oil) by Ed Hicks of Hazlet, NJ; 23* White KImono (pastel) by Christian Beels of New York, NY.

Ten artworks are being retired, having now appeared in three calendars: Perfectly Naked 9, 10 by Christopher Smith of Philadelphia, PA; La Flemande by Lue Isaac of Seattle, WA; Torso by Carmiah Frank of New York, NY; Creating The Balance by Terry Hinkle of St. Louis, MO; Praxilla reading by Moonlight by Bruce Erikson of Maineville, OH; Melita's Back by Barrie Ripin of Bethesda, MD; Self Portrait by William Jobling of Clarence, NY; Mari Sol by Guadalupe Herrera of Houston, TX; And God Created Woman by Chuck Miller of Corsicana, TX; Ponderer by Peggy Dean of Croton-on-Hudson, NY.
Art for this calendar comes from 15 states, Canada and England.

Each of the artists selected for the calendar receives two (2) complimentary listings
for each of their artworks selected.
Three artists, indicated by asterisks (
*), are nominated for the
Curators Choice Awards. Curators’ Choice nominees receive 8 additional complimentary listings. All the Barebrush curators have an opportunity to view and judge the art. The top artist receives an additional prize. Winners announced November 1st.
