Looking Lively -- Coli Mihai Caranica is an independent curator, photographer and gallery assistant in Bucharest, Romania. She studied at the New York Institute of Photography.
Ms. Caranica selected three Curators' Choice nominees for April, (starred dates in the list): 1* painting 63 (oil) by Richard White of Coventry, CT; 6* Figure with Leaves (pastel) by Sara Swan of Los Angeles, CA; 19* Swirlbone (charcoal/carbon) by Gary Paul Stutler of Vallejo, CA.
Artworks making their calendar debut: 7. Six artworks are being retired, having now appeared in three calendars: Survivor by John Luce Lockett of Northampton, England; Within these Walls Series (II) by Victoria Coyle of South Wales, United Kingdom; Dans les nudes by Neal Smithwillow of San Miguel de Allende, MEXICO; Balance by Larry Scaturro of Brooklyn, NY; Amanda Emergent by Jean Marcellino of New York, NY; Sonia by Barrie Ripin of Bethesda, MD.
Art for this calendar comes from 12 states, Mexico, Canada, France, United Kingdom and England.

Each of the artists selected for the calendar receives two (2) complimentary listings
for each of their artworks selected.
Three artists, indicated by asterisks (
*), are nominated for the
Curators Choice Awards. Curators’ Choice nominees receive 8 additional complimentary listings. All the Barebrush curators have an opportunity to view and judge the art. The top artist receives an additional prize. Winners announced May 1st.
