"The Feast of St. Anthony" by Pacifico Palumbo

Title: "The Feast of St. Anthony"

Desc: The Feast of St.Anthony was held each year on his feast day the 13th of June. His statue would be brought out from the church and a procession would take place through the streets of the neighborhood. People woud pin dollar bills to the ribbons that were wrapped aroud his statue. The band would play Italian music as the procession continued. When the statue returned back into the church you could hardly see the statue with all the money that was wrapped around it. At night the feast would continue. It was a combination of great food, good music and much fun. From my website
