February Festives -- Guest curator, Sherry Camhy, is an artist, author and teacher. Her work is in the permanent collection of several museums and has been featured in art magazines as well as museum and gallery shows. Ms. Camhy was curator for "The Silverpoint Exhibition" (National Arts Club 2014). Her book, Art of the Pencil was published by Watson-Guptill, and Ms. Camhy is now the author of the Drawing Magazine column, "Material World." In addition to teaching at the Art Students League and several colleges, Ms. Camhy teaches in her studio in West Chelsea and also runs workshops, with two coming up: silverpoint in May (New York) and painting in July (France).
Ms. Camhy selected a Pitern, a striking oil by Seonyoung Kim of Woodside, NY. to launch the month. Overall, the February calendar is peopled by interesting faces, lively colors and surprising compositions. Each thumbnail beckons the viewer to take a closer look. Artworks making their calendar debut: 13. Art for this calendar comes from 11 states, Panama and Mexico.

Each of the artists selected for the calendar receives two (2) complimentary listings for each artwork included in this calendar.
Viewers can vote for
“The People's Choice,” a poll which includes all of the art in the calendar. The top three artworks in The People's Choice win one (1) complementary listing for their artists. Winners announced March 1st.
