Winter Respite — If we are still shell shocked with two wars continuing, with the loss of more than 7 million jobs since September of 2008, and with the federal budget deficit being out of control, we may be relieved to see that February N*des–of–the–Month offer a welcome respite to these woes, as the customary February thaw is a brief relief from winter. Selected (along with January), by Tom Picard, artist, and long-time member of the Salmagundi Club, February is luscious without being impolite—truly a calendar to soothe. At the end of the session, Picard noted that he liked the process, calling it “interesting and fun,” and that he “tried to vary it.”
The 28 artists represented in February, 2010, in day order are: 1* Chanit Roston, 2 Mollie Kellogg, 3 Kelly Borsheim, 4* Janet A.
